I learned that money can be a lot of things. It can be something that is hoarded, fought over, protected, stolen and withheld. Or it can be like an energy, fueled by the desire, will, creative interest, need to laugh, of large groups of people. And it can be shuffled and pushed around and pooled together to fuel a common interest, jokes about garbage, penises and parenthood.

There are those who think the Internet needs more regulation to protect the copyright holders and intellectual property owners. Seems to me Louis CK proved that you just need to be fucking funny and really honest.

I hope Hollywood studios and television networks and entertainment conglomerates are paying attention to this. Because if they’re smart, they’ll scramble to figure out how to reinvent themselves in a world where content is decentralized and people go directly to those they trust for news, entertainment, and more. The world doesn’t care about Hollywood politics and ratings and advertisers and gristle peddled to the lowest common denominator. They haven’t for a long time.
